When test air is charged to a large battery assy, the housing may be deformed by the pressure of the air. If the work deforms during measurement, the temporary change in volume can disrupt the internal pressure and cause false judgment. The CISVAS filter monitors the flow (differential pressure) generated by leak of the work using Cosmo's unique method. Advanced arithmetic processing identifies, filters, and compensates data to significantly reduce false judgment due to work deformation.

Studies have shown that temperature changes in the environment where leak tests are conducted can change the actual flow of the works, and that there is a strong correlation between the changes in the ambient temperature and those in the actual flow. The newly developed EV Series Leak Testers measure the ambient temperature in real time and determine the optimum amount of compensation for each measurement based on the difference from the reference temperature. It significantly reduces false judgment due to ambient temperature change.

You must measure at the correct test pressure for accurate leak testing. If the work is leaking, the internal pressure drops below the specified pressure due to the leak, which also decreases the flow. As a result, "Fail" products may be misjudged as "Pass" and would be on the market. By constantly monitoring the work pressure, even if the pressure deviates from the specified value, the flow can be corrected to the one at the specified pressure to realize highly accurate measurement.

Conventional flowmeters display the "converted flow" (obtained by converting the actual volumetric flow in the measurement conditions to the flow under standard conditions (0°C (20°C), 1 atm). The newly developed AL-R302EV displays the actual volumetric flow in the measurement conditions. This makes it possible to judge using the actual volumetric flow leaked from the work at the time of measurement in any environment in the world. LS-R902EV, besides the actual volumetric flow (mL/min), can display the differential pressure (Pa). You can use either unit of measurement according to your requirements.

LS-E902EV was developed for large battery assemblies that are tested at very low test pressures (1 kPa to 14 kPa). Also medium pressure models (50 kPa to 800 kPa) are available for leak testing of cooling water channel systems. Using two LS-R902EV units can complete leak testing of large battery assemblies.

When testing a work with a large volume, it takes time to pressurize to the specified test pressure only by applying pressure from the leak tester. By applying a large amount of air pressure from the Bypass Circuit, the pressurization time can be greatly reduced.

For LS-R902EV, adding an E/P Regulator can further reduce pressurization time by applying a higher pressure than the specified test pressure in the early stage of pressurization. The pressure adjustment of the E/P Regulator can be finely controlled with the LS-R902EV.
